Nearly Finished

Well after nearly four months of work (not all the time), the front of our new Christmas Wreath is nearly finished. The three younger members of our family all had a hand in taking the papers out. I bought this kit from Lizard of Oz www.lizardofoz.com.au and have had a great time chosing fabric and lugging it around to all the places that I can to do just one more hexagon.

It Rained in Paradise

We are sooo excited here as there was 31 mm in the rain gauge this morning - the earth is softer and the wet vegetation is just wonderful. The boys were extremely muddy and wet with all the dancing, digging and riding that they did throughout the day. Their extremely old raincoats need replacing as they let in all the rain. Hmmm we had a LandRover like that when I was growing up, we had to wear our raincoats inside if it was raining - that was so much fun.

I had a lot of fun quilting this quilt as it was small, only 1.11m square, as I normally get such large quilts. I digitized the outer border swags allowing me to quilt them as I progressed down the quilt so I didn't have to turn the quilt. I SID around borders and created the spaces to be quilted with motifs. The motifs are the wonderful Keryn Emmerson's. The customer was ecstatic as she reckoned that I had turned a masterpiece out of crap again

Raffle Quilt for School Camp

My oldest son is going off on his first school camp this year so I decided to make a quilt to raise funds - I used my hand dyed fabrics and quilted it with Hermoine Agee's Baptist Fan. My son helped cut the fabric, so we are both pretty pleased with ourselves
